1. In November 2011 I was hit by a car head on whilst riding my motorbike to work, almost leading to me having my leg amputated.
2. I started my own business when I was 17, which, 12 years later, I am still happily working in.
3. I love tigers. I have three tattoos of them and I named my dog Tiger.

Benji ROCKS, he makes every session fun and different. Don’t get me wrong, he’s TOUGH, but the sessions are never boring and I always go away thinking how much we got done in such a fast time…I was a boot camp junkie, however an injury meant a dramatic lifestyle change. I initially approached Benji to see if he could help me improve my back squat. I had seen him training other clients in the gym and noticed him focusing on form and technique. I was in an accident a number of years ago and was concerned about injuring my back again. I had also seen another trainer doing Olympic lifts and thought it would be really cool to be able to do that. Benji was really receptive to my concerns and goals, and within no time we were working on exercises that would improve my back and my squat. Just over a year later my back feels better than it has since the accident and I am performing all of the Olympic lifts I never dreamed of being able to do. I couldn't recommend Benji more highly as a trainer.
When I first started training with Benji I was suffering from pain that developed from a combination of overtraining and structural imbalances. At its worst point I was unable to even walk up the stairs. No doctors could help and some advised me to give up training altogether. But Benji was confident he could help improve my pain and restore normal function back into my knee. After a few months of undergoing Benji’s tailored remedial programming, I am now not only 100% pain free but stronger than ever before. Benji’s ‘never give up’ attitude was vital to my recovery, especially when so many other professionals had given up on me before…Thanks to Benji I can now confidently say I am the strongest, leanest and fittest I’ve ever been in my life.
My experience with Benji has been great. I have put on 8kg of muscle mass in only a few months with his mentoring and help, when I was struggling to put on any size on my own. I came to Benji in 2015 after he came highly recommend by a friend. After having been with several trainers - some good, some bad - I was delighted to find Benji’s knowledge of nutrition, human movement and training was unsurpassed. My strength, general lifting movements and body shape have improved dramatically. I have always been strong but found myself shedding body fat I always had trouble getting rid of. In 2016, I decided to compete in my first bodybuilding competition – INBA Nationals (Physique). Despite a short prep time, Benji helped me achieve the body I had always dreamed of. Benji’s outstanding ability to motivate, provide sound and constant training and nutritional advice helped me commit to achieving my goals and then some! I would readily recommend Benji to anyone.
I have trained with Benji for around four years. I won’t change trainers, even though I now live nowhere near where he trains. I am 51 years old and play football regularly (injury permitting!), but also just had a third child, so I need to keep functionally strong for many years to come! Benji understands rehabilitation from firsthand experience and his comprehensive knowledge has proved invaluable to me. I am fitter now than most times in my life and aim to improve, not just maintain. I like his adaptability, meaning he can focus on what is likely to work for me. Benji's unique approach to personal training is unlike anything I have experienced before. He has a wealth of knowledge for all kinds of strength conditioning, whether it be power lifting, Olympic lifting, or mobility. If it weren't for his guidance, there's no way I'd be lifting heavier weight without the right form or technique. Highly recommended to anyone whether you're a beginner or pro, because chances are he will teach you things you wouldn't have known before and will be able to apply it to your training
I have been training with Ben for a bit over six months, specifically with Olympic lifting, and it has been an incredible experience. I am loving the process and little by little being able to turn over weights that previously I never thought I could. Ben is a great coach with a unique holistic approach to training; phased personal programming, strength, accessory movements, range of movement, diet, energy. Best of all Ben explains everything in simple enough terms (good for people like me with limited knowledge of all of the technical terms) so you have a better understanding of what you are doing and why.
