The Membership Types are as follows:

Play Membership – You have unlimited access to Gyms and all Goods and / or Services of Fitness Playground and / or The Bunker.

Gym Membership – You have access to all Gyms and all Goods and / or Services of Fitness Playground excluding group training.
-
Fit Membership – You have access to all Gyms and all Goods and / or Services of Fitness Playground excluding MindBody Studio and Athletica Group Sessions.

Group Classes Packs – You have access to classes only at specified locations, excluding gym access.
Membership Types contain either a “12-month minimum term” or are deemed “no commitment”:

“12-month minimum term” means twenty-six (26) fortnightly payments followed by rolling membership until Your membership is terminated in a way set out in the Membership Terms; and
-
“No commitment” means fortnightly payments until Your membership is terminated in a way set out in the Membership Terms; and
-
“Paid in full” means paid upfront.

“Gift Cards” means a prepaid card issued as an alternative to cash for purchases for a particular goods or service
We offer a “Corporate Membership” which means You will receive a discount on Your fortnightly membership fees or a discounted joining fee. If You have a Corporate Membership, You will be asked to produce evidence of Your corporate identity to Us. If You fail to produce evidence of Your corporate identity, we may:

Ask You to reimburse Us for any discounts You have received upon joining the Gym; and

We will return Your membership fees to the standard membership rate and remove the corporate discount applied.
8. Upgrades & downloading membership

12-Month Minimum Terms – Your agreement term does not change within Fitness Playground Membership Tiers.

To break a 12-month minimum term agreement early Fitness Playground and / or The Bunker Membership Types, You may be required to reenroll in a 12-month agreement to upgrade or downgrade while within a minimum term agreement.
9. Visitors

Casual Visit: allows You one off access to the Gym only for the same day; and
-
Casual Visit for MindBody or Athletica Session: allows You one-off access to one class only for the same day.

You may cancel Your membership for the following reasons:

Medical: You may cancel your membership for medical reasons. Your doctor must provide certification that You are unable to use the Gym for a period of six (6) months or more, and that using the Goods and / or Services of Fitness Playground would impair Your health. The thirty (30) days written notice will begin upon presentation and acceptance of medical certification in the Gym (or via email when You are unable to attend the Gym)

Relocation: You may cancel or transfer your membership by giving thirty (30) days written notice if You move your permanent residence 20km from any Fitness Playground Sydney Gym location and 50km from any Fitness Playground Darwin location. You must provide information supporting Your relocation and provide evidence that Your relocation is permanent. For example, utility bill, an updated drivers licence and / or a one-way flight.

If You wish to cancel Your membership for any other reason and You are within Your minimum term, You may pay out Your Fitness Playground Contract.

The ‘Fair Play Option’ is in place to reward member loyalty and encourage usage. You may cancel Your membership with thirty (30) days written notice and no penalty if You have used the Gym a minimum of three (3) times per week for the last six (6) weeks prior to submitting a cancellation request. One (1) month written notice is required after the six (6) weeks of three (3) times a week gym use is complete. All data is taken from the Fitness Playground’s member management system. You are responsible for ensuring accurate data can be collected. A failure to sign into the Gym upon entry or by registering the key in the entry system is Your sole responsibility.

The ‘Fair Play Option’ is in place to reward member loyalty and encourage usage. Lifestyle Personal Training is twenty-four (24) week minimum term agreement for services of Personal Training to You. Failure to complete the sessions within thirty (30) weeks from the start date may result in You forfeiting the sessions.

Ongoing Personal Training is an agreement for services of Personal Training to You. These are deemed no commitment.

Changing Personal Training Sessions – any cancellations, suspensions or request to change session frequency or dates must be made twenty-four (24) hours prior to the personal training session directly to Your personal trainer via SMS or phone call. You are responsible for ensuring the personal trainer receives adequate notification. Failure by You to provide notice will result in forfeiting the personal training session. In the case adequate notice is provided a make-up session must be arranged within the same fortnightly cycle otherwise Your personal training session is forfeited (unless otherwise agreed with Your personal trainer in writing). If You fail to complete personal training sessions within the fortnightly cycle, Fitness Playground is not obliged to refund or credit personal training sessions.

24. Termination of the membership by fitness playground

If You commit a serious or repeated breach of Your Fitness Playground Contract;

If You otherwise breach Your Fitness Playground Contract and the breach, if capable of remedy, is not remedied within fourteen (14) days of Us giving You notice to do so and informing You that Your membership will be terminated if You fail to do so;

If any part of your membership fees remains unpaid 28 days after falling due;
-
If You provide us with details which You know to be false when submitted Your Enrolment for Membership Form and these false details may have affected Our reasonable decision to grant You membership; or
-
The Gym is of the reasonable opinion that You are not suitable for continued membership; or
-
You put the health, safety or wellbeing of Fitness Playground staff or other members of Fitness Playground at risk; or
-
You damage Our equipment or use illegal or performance-enhancing drugs.

Payments to Fitness Playground for administration, access keys, membership payments and personal training payments, class packages are non-refundable.

Should you believe that your circumstances for a refund requires special consideration, please email the Manager of your home club.

Should a refund be approved you will be notified by return email and asked to supply your BSB and Account Number for an electronic bank transfer.

Refunds will be processed within fourteen (14) working days. Email confirmation of the refund will be made to you via email with a receipt of the transfer.

If you do not receive your refund within fourteen (14) working days of the email confirmation, please email the Manager of your home club for us to rectify this with the bank.

All members must complete a pre-exercise questionaire and enrolment form or sign the guest register prior to taking part in physical activity.

All climbers must sign a waiver before climbing.

Please do not walk, stand or sit underneath a climber while he/ she is climbing.

One climber at a time on the bouldering wall.

Staff reserve the right to revoke climbing privileges either temporarily or permanently for unsafe or inappropriate behaviour.

Please report any loose holds, padding issues or anything you perceive to be a safety hazard to staff immediately.

Children under 18-years-old must have their waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.

No children are permitted on the gym floor at any time.

Take care not to run through the gym. Do not do cartwheels or back flips.
-
No drinks, gum or food allowed on the padding or mats.
-
Closed gym shoes must be worn at all times.
-
Warning: climbing and bouldering on any climbing wall or equipment can result in falls. Falling from any height can result in injury or death.

All members must use a towel at all times while on the gym floor.
-
All bags must be securely stored in lockers and not on the gym floor.
-
Do not take photos of other people or in the bathrooms.
-
Pregnant women, those with high blood pressure, heart conditions, aneurysms, recent surgery or illness, anyone with back, neck or bone injuries, equilibrium/ ear problems and diabetics should not be climbing.
